TRIAL BY FIRE is a feature-length documentary film about three current and former inmate firefighters in California. The film follows a current inmate working in the firefighting program, a recently released inmate looking to obtain work as a firefighter on the outside, a former inmate-turned-firefighter who built his career as a firefighter outside of prison. TRIAL BY FIRE explores the spiritual connection these men share with nature, and their attempts to find redemption and meaning in their lives.
