EL REBOTE follows one man's journey amidst divorce, in the city where he first fell in love. The film blends vérité, documentary, magical realism, and surrealism to immerse viewers in an authentic yet fantastical world where each act unfolds in a distinct style. EL REBOTE is a story of nostalgia, love, and hope. But, upon deeper examination, the film is a piece about men's mental health and the experiences and emotions they are conditioned to contain.
