Black Diamond

CAUSE: Climate, Human Rights

CATEGORY: Film

PROJECT DIRECTOR: Adrienne Hall

Black Diamond is a short film that started off as a story on tuna and the Pacific. The deeper the team went with contacts and characters, a dark and murky world of murder and conspiracy on the high seas was revealed, with fisheries observers -- our eyes and ears on the ocean-going missing at alarming rates. Tuna are on the brink of extinction, but the story within the story, of the people trying to protect them, and dying in the process, proved much more intriguing and relevant. Black Diamond focuses on one particular observer, Keith Davis, who disappeared mysteriously.
