STEP-FRIEND is an episodic proof of concept following the model of a 90's sitcom with a subversive modern-day take on the world. This show follows two friends, Darby and Scout, as they navigate a new challenging dynamic in their relationship: Darby has married Scout's dad. STEP-FRIEND works to center women, both in front of and behind the camera. Laughter is such an important vehicle for change, and for much-needed uplift in a time of so much darkness, and STEP-FRIEND hopes to contribute positively to the comedy landscape.
