LANDFILL HARMONIC is a documentary film following the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, Paraguay. Each instrument is made entirely from garbage from the local landfill, which serves as the dumping ground for nearby Asuncion, Paraguay. The Orchestra is a musical group led by musical director Favio Chavez, who guides his musicians through newfound fame and notoriety as the story gains global traction. LANDFILL HARMONIC is a story of joy, passion, perseverance, and inspiration. The film won Audience Award at SXSW Festival in 2015, Impact International Audience Award at Vancouver International Film Festival in 2015, and Best Documentary at Boulder International Film Festival in 2016, among others.
