Haunted by nightmares of war and atrocity, a woman who lost everything—including her two mothers—chose love over hate, as a timeless piece of music emerged to console her.
Recurring nightmares of war and genocide are seen through the legacy of Irena Veisaitė, a Holocaust survivor and Lithuanian scholar who lost everything yet chose love over hate. Her story is revealed through the last year of her life and archival materials that serve as her memory.
“Never take revenge,” her mother told her just before she was killed by the Nazis.
