BLACKBERRIES is a film following one woman's journey through healing from loss. This is the story of a Muslim immigrant mother mourning the loss of her child, through a chance interaction with a stranger. BLACKBERRIES shows the ways in which immigrant women suffer and survive in countries that are completely foreign to them. Through it all, they prevail, and often times, this is done through the connection and community formed amongst other women. The intersectional communities and experiences of womanhood are powerful and explored in depth in BLACKBERRIES.
