Today's youth are facing unprecedented challenges like climate change, mental health, social inequality and economic instability. Empowering them with the skills to meet these challenges and inspiring them to take creative action is part of the solution.
Through our
Impact Education
programs, we inspire critical thinking, problem-solving and creative action-oriented learning that enables students to address issues in their communities and the world. We teach young people about human rights, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and how to use the arts and media to tell stories that inspire action and positive change.
CREATIVE CHANGEMAKERS CURRICULUM & LEARNING HUB
The Creative Changemakers Learning Hub is the ultimate resource for teachers who want to empower their students to take creative action to make a difference in the world. Our innovative platform offers a wealth of curriculum materials, media resources, featured partners, a student showcase and ongoing calls to action.
Our Creative Changemakers curriculum empowers young people to utilize storytelling and media as tools for positive change. It promotes awareness of human rights and social issues through the lens of the UDHR and SDGs, fostering creativity and critical thinking in a rapidly changing world. The free, readily accessible and standards-aligned curriculum is designed to spark creative action in any learning environment.
YOUTH EXCEL FILM LAB
The Youth Excel Film Lab empowers young and diverse filmmakers to use their talents and interests to bring about positive change through the art of storytelling and filmmaking. It provides education on crucial social issues, as well as on the craft of storytelling and filmmaking, while also giving students access to prominent industry experts. The program culminates in a showcase of short impact films created by the students.
IN-SCHOOL LABS
Impact Education In-School Labs allows us to provide direct service to educators and students in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Each academic year, we work with various schools and grade levels to teach educators best practices when implementing the Creative Changemakers curriculum, keep our finger on the pulse of what students and teachers need and pilot new resources. These labs support teachers and students and help us frame our national and international rollouts of new lessons, resources and youth creative action projects.
