Impact media plays a crucial role in driving social change and inspiring action towards a better world. We recognize the power of impact media and support the work of creative activists who tell compelling stories that raise awareness, shift perspectives, and promote new solutions and possibilities.
Through our programs and partnerships, we provide resources, mentorship and funding to media makers and storytellers dedicated to creating media of all kinds that make a lasting impact and drive meaningful change in the world.
FISCAL SPONSORSHIP
Through our Fiscal Sponsorship program, we support a diverse portfolio of projects, including documentaries, narrative films, music, dance, podcasts, art exhibitions, events and more. As a social change catalyst, the program supports impact media makers at all stages of project development. Projects or organizations accepted into Fiscal Sponsorship receive tax-exempt status and can receive grants and tax-deductible contributions, including monetary and in-kind donations.
CREATIVE ACTIVIST FUND
The Creative Activist Fund supports and advances the work of creators who have a powerful story to tell and whose project has the potential to have a profound social impact. By offering financial aid, networking opportunities and resources through the Fund, we assist creative activists in telling timely and impactful stories related to our primary issue areas:
The Creative Activist Fund supports impact media of all kinds - film, photography, journalism, music, visual and performing arts and also offers rapid response funding to support projects focused on immediate, pressing local, national and global issues.

WOMEN EXCEL PROJECT
Creative Visions launched the Women Excel Project in 2018 in partnership with The XX Fund and Liberty Hill and supported by the Office of the Mayor in Los Angeles. This year-long fellowship offered emerging, diverse female and nonbinary filmmakers the opportunity to produce short films highlighting the impact of non-profits working for justice and equality for women, girls, nonbinary persons and vulnerable populations in Los Angeles.
The program is being expanded to include emerging and established filmmakers and will relaunch in 2024. The new program will focus on pairing the filmmaker cohorts with social entrepreneurs implementing solutions to some of the world’s most pressing civic, social and economic challenges.

YOUTH EXCEL PROJECT
An accelerator and film lab, the Youth Excel Project delivers human rights education, storytelling and filmmaking expertise to diverse high school filmmakers. The program supports young creative activists in using their talents and passions to create a positive impact on human rights and social causes through the power of story and film.
Coached by industry experts, students learn the elements of filmmaking, including the key tools and techniques and how to tell powerful stories as they produce short-form films as part of the program.
