FRAME BY FRAME

CAUSE: Human Rights

CATEGORY: Film

PROJECT DIRECTOR:

FRAME BY FRAME is a documentary film following four Afghan photojournalists on their journey to build Afghanistan's first free press. When the Taliban took over in 1996, they banned photography and the regime implemented a media blackout. With the toppling of the Taliban came the re-introduction of photography and the emergence of a promising new industry - a photography revolution was born. FRAME BY FRAME reveals the struggle of overcoming the odds to capture the truth as Afghan photographers rebuild the art form that was stripped from them. FRAME BY FRAME has been featured in NPR, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Huffington Post, Time, and more.
