FRAME BY FRAME is a documentary film following four Afghan photojournalists on their journey to build Afghanistan's first free press. When the Taliban took over in 1996, they banned photography and the regime implemented a media blackout. With the toppling of the Taliban came the re-introduction of photography and the emergence of a promising new industry - a photography revolution was born. FRAME BY FRAME reveals the struggle of overcoming the odds to capture the truth as Afghan photographers rebuild the art form that was stripped from them.
