About the Event
This virtual event – hosted by Isha Sesay, journalist, author, and UN Goodwill Ambassador – will feature a lively conversation with Kathy Eldon, best-selling author of Hope Rising and Creative Visions founder. The celebration includes guest appearances and performances by Rocky Dawuni, John Edward, Julian Lennon, Kweku Mandela, Rain Phoenix, Rob Raco, Joe Sumner, Marianne Williamson, Lucy Woodward, Diva Zappa, Isabel and Grace Roosevelt and award-winning youth poetry troupe, The Get Lit Players. Join us as we come together to share hope, inspire action, and create a vision for a better tomorrow.
Kathy wrote the book with the help of her “Noisy Spirits” who have inspired her since her son Dan Eldon, a 22-year-old Reuters photojournalist, was killed while on assignment in Somalia. This remarkable collection is sparking a movement with a new vision of the future and how we get there.
You can help empower young people – especially now when many are feeling hopeless and uncertain about the future. All funds raised through the sale of Hope Rising and the #HopeRisingGlobal launch celebration event will support the youth empowerment and education programs of Creative Visions. Our programs inspire hope in young people by providing them with tools and resources so they can transform hope into action and create awareness about issues that matter to them.
