June Sundowner Recap
This past Thursday, June 16th, we held our traditional Sundowner on our lovely rooftop deck in Malibu, enjoying drinks, snacks and the sunset. This month’s Sundowner was particularly special, thanks to Zach Ingrasci and Chris Temple of Living on One. Chris and Zach are longtime creative activists and dedicated members of the Creative Visions family. Zach was on hand to present Living On One’s Virtual Reality piece, “For My Son,” a five minute long interactive film created to immerse the viewer in the life of a Syrian man and his young son, now living in Jordan. He also broke the exciting news to our guests that their newest film, Salam Neighbor, in which Zach and Chris were the first filmmakers allowed to be registered and have a tent inside a refugee camp along Syria’s border, would be released this past Monday, June 20th on Netflix, in honor of International Refugee Day. Both pieces are meant to connect the world to refugees and tell their stories with “the dignity they deserve.”
We are so grateful to all of you who came out and especially to our incredible DJ, jjbstock and Ninkasi Brewing Company for keeping the drinks flowing. If you haven’t been to one yet, or you’re a Sundowner loyal, join us for our next one on July 14th!! More information to come!
