Project Summary
ELEVATION is about people.
It is a film following the story of two courageous climbers connecting with a village while training for an epic adventure of a first ascent on Mount Siguniang. The story that unfolds is remarkable. A village of Tibetans will warmly adopt several American climbers, their Chinese liaisons and together... learn to rebuild after the Great Sichuan Earthquake.
ELEVATION is a movement to take this adventure, global compassion and human connection and combine it to create a lifestyle that is about giving back by using our own gifts and following our passions.

The Film
ELEVATION is a full-length documentary film that will follow two climbers on their epic adventure. The men are inspired by the power of a mountain that protected a village during massive destruction. They connect with the people and forget cultural differences in an amazing story about the human spirit and our own ability to love, fear, support and overcome.
The School
Our program in Sichuan Province will teach the people of Rilong safe and effective climbing techniques in a supportive community-based program run by some of the best alpine climbers in the world. The people of Rilong will build a sustainable eco-tourism industry with these skills and rebuild their village again. This is the first of many programs that we hope connect and support the communities of those who live and work in the remote alpine places all over the world.
The Tour
Our educational tour accompanying the film will promote service-learning as a strategy for youth education and empowering the next generation of activists to connect with other cultures AND have fun. Imagine the world’s most elite athletes or luminaries in the arts coming to your school and discussing why using your passion to help others is so fulfilling. |
