PBS: “ABDUCTION The Megumi Yokota Story”

Abduction was produced by Patty Kim and Chris Sheridan. They dedicated the film to Creative Visions Foundation. PBS profiles the film, its making, the filmmakers, and the talkback. Patty was the director of Safari as a Way of Life, the National Geographic Special about Dan Eldon. The film is a perfect example of the power of creative activism as it has launched a dialogue on the abductees who remain in North Korea and has literally changed the political face of Japan.

“In 1977, a 13-year-old Japanese girl was abducted on her way home from school by North Korean spies. For 20 years, her parents had no idea if she was even alive—until one day, the world learned the shocking truth.”
